Lambeth School House Converted spaces interest us. Here, a former school house in central London receives a confident, monochromatic Plain English treatment. In the design development of this project, Creative Director Katie Fontana saw the layout as chess pieces, dotting a board, the quietly coloured tiled walls. Spitalfields cupboards and Founrier doors sit cleanly with honed Carrara marble, a single counter-standing cupboard acting as the punctuation at the end. Glazed screens separating the dressing area from the bath are made private, while letting the light in, with reeded glass panels.
